Broken Lizard, Johnny Knoxville

If you haven’t seen The Slammin’ Salmon, you need to rent it today. That latest hilarity from Broken Lizard gang was uproarious, Michael Clarke Duncan as the intimidating, stubborn restaurant boss, Champ will knock you out. But Salmon’ wasn’t quite as gut busting as Beerfest and Super Troopers. I’m  still waiting for Lizard’s next best work yet. FREELOADERS was already wrapped, can’t wait to hear when that one’s going to hit theaters. Meanwhile, Hollywood Reporter said, the guys have decided to allow 2 outsiders to do some work on their new movie…

I guess the gang is open to other input besides their own, because Robbie Pickering and Jase Ricci have been hired to work on the screenplay MUSTACHE RIDERS, originally penned by Paul Soter
The project is described as a Stoner Western, to be directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and it’s housed at Paramount.
Jackass honcho Johnny Knoxville is attached to produce and star as.. sorry, the logline wasn’t revealed. So raincheck on that ok.
By the way, those two additional scribes Pickering and Ricci also adapted SCHOOL OF FEAR, based on the novel by Gitty Daneshvari, for producer Graham King (The Departed), that one is housed at WB.

5 original members of The Broken Lizard are Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske
