30 MINUTES OR Aziz Ansari

We just heard earlier today that Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer has chosen 30 MINUTES OR LESS as his next project with Danny McBride (Pineapple Express) to co-star, not as the lead, in this comedy about about a pizza delivery guy facing ultimatum at the instruction of a pair of goons. Hollywood Reporter has learned that Raaaaandy dude from Funny People, comedian turned actor Aziz Ansari (TV’s Park And Recreation, Observe And Report) has also signed on to co-star..

Developed by Media Rights Capital, produced by Red Hour’s Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfield, this action comedy still doesn’t have its Pizza delivery guy yet but Ansari will play a junior high history teacher who along with the pizza guy, are forced by a pair of goons to rob a bank, one of them is strapped to a bomb vest, scripted by Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan
I really like the concept and Zombieland itself was part of the genre action/comedy so Fleischer is definitely the right man for the job.
Recent production weekly tweet revealed that Danny McBride is attached to play the character named Dwayne, one of the goons with “serious daddy issues”,
Production is set to start this summer.
