3D Anime MAD MAX 4?

Talks about MAD MAX 4 have been going on for so long and went through different versions of possibilities but every last one of them fell through, frankly I just lost faith, I’m not expecting this installment to ever happen but the director of the first three movies, George Miller, who’s busy developing Happy Feet 2, revealed to MTV about his idea for MAD MAX 4 and I don’t know if I like the sound of it because first of all, he wants to present it as a rated-R, 3D anime feature film,.. and Miller doesn’t want Mel Gibson‘s involvement this time around..
“We’ll probably go a different route,” Miller told MTV News about the potential talent voicing the lead role. The plot would be partly lifted from the script of the fourth “Max” film, which was set to shoot in 2003 until financing collapsed in the wake of the Iraq War.
“I see myself as someone who is very curious about storytelling and all its various media,” Miller said. “I’ve always loved anime, in particular the Japanese sensibility. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”
Speaking of anime, Miller is also thinking of developing the action adventure video game based on MAD MAX 4 with God of War II designer Corey Barlog and guess what,.. he doesn’t want Mel Gibson‘s involvement in that either.
I’m not a Mel Gibson fanatic or anything but the dude was MAX for pete’s sake! The least Miller can do is give him a cameo appearance or something.. even McG knows he needs to have Arnold involved somehow in the new Terminator trilogy. It’s just like you can’t have a Rocky Balboa movie without Sly Stallone.
