4 More Join ORANGES

Hollywood Reporter said 4 actors have joined the cast of ORANGES already starring Hugh Laurie and hottie Leighton Meester. Written by Jay Reiss and Ian Helfer, the story is a “dark dramatic comedy about an older man who has an affair with the daughter of a family friend”. Laurie will play the creepy/sympathetic older man. And playing the daughter of the family friend is Meester…

Adam Brody will play Laurie’s son, who falls for Meester but he finds that she’s having an affair with his dad… yikes!
Alia Shawkat (Whip it) plays Brody’s sister who’s thinking of moving out
Catherine Keener will play their mother
While Allison Janney plays Meester’s mom.

Was once part of the 2008’s Black List (industry’s most desired screenplays that didn’t get produced), ORANGES is being produced by Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) along with Glen Basner and Leslie Urdang
Directed by Julian Farino, shooting starts March 30th in New York City

Here’s some quick thoughts
Brody is an annoying actor.. I’m sorry but even his latest performance in Cop Out only confirms that he’s a terrible actor, he’s not entertaining enough to watch on the big screen either.
Shawkat hasn’t done much yet
Janney is one of those old hotties, a brilliant actress, she’s been in great gigs like Juno and Away We Go but unfortunately, to me she’ll always be CJ Craig from The West Wing.
And doesn’t Keener ever get sick and tired of playing the wife or the mother all the time? I think it’s time for Keener to lead star in her own thriller or something. C’mon, Hollywood! She’s a 2 time Oscar nominee for pete’s sake!
