AMC Will Get GOODFELLAS TV Series

I didn’t like the idea of GOODFELLAS TV series a while ago, I still don’t like it now that it’s happening. Don’t get wrong, I’m a huge fan of gangster flicks especially Martin Scorsese‘s classic, I was also a huge fan of The Sopranos and I’m a huge fan of the current Boardwalk Empire, I just feel like we’ve already got Boardwalk Empire, we should let that one run its course for a while, why do we need another gangster series, much less one that’s based on one of the greatest movies ever made?!
But I can tolerate the idea a bit now because Deadline said AMC, which is behind some of today’s greatest TV shows (Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Walking Dead), will be the one to develop the GOODFELLAS series.
Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote the movie based on his nonfiction book Wiseguy, is going to co-write the TV series with Jorge Zamacona
AMC hasn’t let me down, their shows restored my faith in the power of a well-written story and so I’m going to give this GOODFELLAS series a chance.
