Anchor Bay Will Bring SLAMMIN’ SALMON To You

Finally! After a long wait, Variety says Anchor Bay Films will distribute THE SLAMMIN’ SALMON, check out the red band trailer, from the Broken Lizard dudes who cracked us up with Super Troopers, Club Dread, and Beerfest. These guys are like our generation’s Monty Phyton. Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske all star in this comedy about… a brutal former heavyweight boxing champion Cleon “Slammin’” Salmon now owner of a Miami restaurant, who owes some monsters a lot of money, and so he institutes a competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night: the winner stands to gain $10,000, while the loser will endure a beating at the hands of the champ.

Directed by Heffernan, co-starring Michael Clarke Duncan, Will Forte, Lance Henriksen and Vivica A. Fox and the hottie from TV’s Two And A Half Men, April Bowlby a.k.a Kandi.
Anchor gets to distribute the movie in all U.S., U.K. and Australia/New Zealand rights, and Comedy Central has the initial free TV window in the U.S.
THE SLAMMIN’ SALMON will open in theaters sometime this December
