Deadline reported that Marvel has chosen TV director of Game Of Thrones to replace Patty Jenkins, who was Natalie Portman‘s choice.
Jenkins left the project not too long ago, due to creative differences. The departure reportedly upset Portman but there’s nothing that the Oscar winning actress (who plays Jane Foster) could do because she’s contractually obligated to show up in the sequel
Word had it Portman was allowed to take part in selecting the new director, so I suppose Taylor got her approval.
THOR 2, scripted by Don Payne, still has the release date of November 15th, 2013, once again starring Chris Hemsworth.
