Andrew Garfield Talks THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. The Rumor Continues.. So Will Spidey Show Up In THE AVENGERS Or Not?

January 30, 2012RamaNo Comments,

Andrew Garfield, the new Peter Parker/Spidey in Sony’s 3D webslinging reboot, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN talked to The Times Of India, it’s no secret that Garfield is a longtime of Spider-Man, he explained which aspect of the character that he’s most identified with as he approached it for this movie..

I have tried to explore Peter Parker as an orphan. Orphans, I feel, are the strongest human beings on the planet. The amount of things they have to deal with in their lives, is amazing. I have tried to capture how Peter copes with the feelings of being an underdog, his confusions and his self-doubt . This, I hope, has brought, a certain empathy and sensitivity to his character that explains how it helps him become the hero that he eventually turns out to be.

He talked a bit about Tobey Maguire‘s Spider-Man film..

I love the work that Toby did. I’ve watched him in the earlier three movies as a fan and I feel that what he did was perfect. I would never even begin to compare myself with him. And I feel it’s not the point either. This film is another chapter in the legacy of Spiderman and my responsibility was to remain true to the core of the character . I’ve tried to do it as best as I could.

I think the best part of being Garfield in this whole production is the chance to lock lips with hottie Emma Stone. Garfield is a lucky punk..

Well, I got to practice for that – although on my own, I must add (laughs). I practised kissing on my hand, arms and in the mirror. I was just hoping I’ll remember how to kiss when the moment comes and not fumble.

It’s like riding a bicycle, ain’t it, Garfield?! Ha!

On another note, along the same line, not too long ago, there was a huge rumor started by veteran actress Jenny Agutter who is part of Marvel’s upcoming THE AVENGERS, implying that Spider-Man might show up in the much anticipated Marvel’s ultimate superhero movie..
bestmoviesevernews is also telling the same rumor..

“This will be similar to how Wolverine made a quick cameo in X-Men: First Class and Sony’s going to make sure to promote their new Spider-man movie any way they can. Andrew’s (Garfield) isn’t a widely known actor so they want to get his face on everything, including The Avengers even if it’s for a couple seconds.”

Once again, until confirmed otherwise, file that one under rumor.
I just don’t see how Sony which owns the rights to Spidey film franchise would allow Disney to pull such a thing, but hey, ya never know.

THE AVENGERS opens may 4th, 2012
