Meeting Antonio Banderas at the press day for Haywire was a treat, he’s freakin’ Zorro, man! I wonder how he feels now knowing that ZORRO is getting rebooted. Variety reported that Banderas is set to play the late great artist Pablo Picasso in a French and Spanish language film tited 33 DIAS (33 DAYS) about the painter’s emotional struggle as he spent 33 days creating his masterpiece mural “Guernica” which captured his reaction to the destruction of Basque town of Guernica in 1937 by the Nazi Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War.
Directed by Carlos Saura, this $7.9 Million project is scripted by Saura and his producing partner Elias Querejeta along with Louis-Charles Sirjacq
