We know that former guv’nah, Arnold Schwarzenegger will play a ‘substantial’ role in THE EXPENDABLES 2. That deal has been signed. And after that he’s going to make a full on comeback with filmmaker Kim Jee-Woon‘s THE LAST STAND.
Deadline said there’s another project that he’s eyeing. He’s apparently in talks to star in action/thriller, CAPTIVE, which is currently looking for a director
Scripted by Benjamin van der Veen and Kario Salem, based on a story by Nicolai Fuglsig, the project is financed by Emmett/Furla Films
CAPTIVE was initially meant as a directing vehicle for Fuglsig but he had a change of heart and just stays as executive producer.
So what’s the plot about? If all goes well, Schwarzenegger will play..
“an American real estate magnate living in Brazil who is kidnapped and held for ransom. As he frantically searches for a way out of his armored-truck prison cell hidden in a Sao Paolo landfill, a detective specializing in kidnap and ransom cases works to find him.”
