Awesomest Supporting Actors And Supporting Actresses Of 2011

The Oscars has a habit of awarding best supporting actor to those who play a great bad guy/villain. And I was impressed by Albert Brooks‘ performance as the mobster in Drive because that’s not something that you’d usually expect Brooks to play and he knocked that one out of the park.
But I’m aware that there’s been Oscar buzz surrounding the great Christopher Plummer for his role in Beginners. I certainly wouldn’t mind if wins because his time is long overdue.
In the supporting actress category, there have been efforts to get Melissa McCarthy’s comedic role in Bridesmaids recognized and although she did fantastic in that hilarious film, Oscars don’t usually nominate comedy. Once in a while they would, such in the case of Robert Downey Jr. (Tropic Thunder) but that’s very rare and I think funnyman Patton Oswalt could get a nod mostly because of he successfully showed his dramatic side in Young Adult..
Check out my list below..
