BEE MOVIE Co-Director To Helm MADAGASCAR Penguins Spin-Off

It was reported this past Spring that DreamWorks Animation hired Megamind screenwriting team, Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons to develop and write the script for the Madagascar spin-off movie about the paramilitary Antartica penguins: Skipper Kowalski, Private and Rico
No release date but keep in mind that they also has MADAGASCAR 3 set to hit theaters in 2012
Today Heat Vision reported that Simon Smith, who co-directed DWA’s Bee Movie, is hired to direct the untitled Madagascar spin-off which focuses on the penguins. The project will also be produced by Lara Breay (Megamind). They haven’t cast anyone as the voice stars just yet.
