Before GOTTI, Levinson – Pacino Will Tackle THE HUMBLING

Al Pacino is set to reteam with his HBO’s You Don’t Know Jack TV movie director Barry Levinson for GOTTI: THREE GENERATIONS but before that reunion, they’re going to reteam for a different adaptation first..

Deadline said Levinson will helm Pacino in the adaptation of THE HUMBLING, based on the novel by Philip Roth. Screenplay is penned by Levinson, Buck Henry and Michael Zebede, production starts this fall after Levinson finishes up Lionsgate’s thriller, THE BAY.
After THE HUMBLING, and then Levinson and Pacino will focus on the team of GOTTI: THREE GENERATIONS which is currently getting a rewrite by James Toback (Bugsy)
