Ben McKenzie Is Batman.. Well, His Voice At Least, In BATMAN: YEAR ONE

Heat Vision said a few good actors have been cast as voice stars in the animated adaptation of Frank Miller‘s classic comic book, BATMAN: YEAR ONE..

Directed by Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu from a script by Tab Murphy, this is the project of Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation.

Ben McKenzie (TV’s OC, Southland) will voice young Bruce Wayne/Batman
The great Bryan Cranston (TV’s Breaking Bad) will voice Lieutenant James Gordon
Eliza Dushku (TV’s Dollhouse) will voice Catwoman
Katee Sackhoff will voice Gordon’s love interest, Sarah Essen
Alex Rocco will voice crime lord Carmine Falcone

“In Year One, a young Bruce Wayne is first starting out as a costumed vigilante. He creates an early bond with Lieutenant James Gordon, whose importance in the tale makes it as much as Gordon’s story as Wayne’s”

Exec-produced by superhero animation veteran Bruce Timm who made a promise that it’s going to be cinematic “there is very little in the movie that isn’t in the comic”,
BATMAN: YEAR ONE will be rated PG-13, scheduled to hit home video in the fall but it will make its way Comic-Con ’11 first
