Blair Witch Project

10 Years ago, Haley Joel Osment‘s ability to see dead people in The Sixth Sense wasn’t the only one that rocked the Cinema world, another much lower budget horror movie also made the headline. It got ridiculously famous, tons of parody and spoof of it came out afterward especially that close up scene you see in the image above. And you know what, I hated The Blair Witch Project, I hated the sequel Book of Shadows even more, there was nothing scary about those..pseudo documentary bullcrap. I’m still flabbergasted at how it was made in under $100,000 and earned a whopping $250 Million worldwide

BBC has an extensive article recently with the brains behind the franchise, writers/directors Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick as they looked back on the success. Way long before The Dark Knight crowded the internet last year with all its creative viral ads, The Blair Witch Project was an example that viral marketing worked. You can read the rest OVER THERE but here’s something worth noting.. BLAIR WITCH 3 is a possibility…

“Ideally, each Blair Witch film would be a completely different kind of movie. We’ve thought about doing a film that takes place in the late 1700s and looks like a Kubrick movie with gritty looking people and lighting.
“But now, we’re thinking about going back and and seeing what happened directly after the first film finished.
“I think it will have some kind of video element in it, but it won’t be a first person hand-held movie.”

So how bout it.. would you like to go out into the woods and run like a demon is chasing you again? I know what I’ll say.. Check please!

What do you think?
