Cameron Diaz In Talks For GREEN HORNET

It was announced previously that Seth Rogen‘s big screen adaptation of THE GREEN HORNET has been pushed to July instead of June 2010 release, giving some room for Adam Sandler‘s upcoming comedy GROWN UPS.
EW reported that Hottie Cameron Diaz is in talks to play the female lead in THE GREEN HORNET, no deal has been locked in yet but it’s only a matter of time, I just don’t see how she would turn down a chance to work with Rogen and director Michel Gondry.
With the script by Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg (Pinapple Express, Superbad), production is expected to start shortly.
After Shrek franchise, romantic comedies (What Happens in Vegas, The Holiday) and tear jerkers (My Sister’s Keeper), I think it’s time for Diaz to return to her ass-kicking Charlie’s Angels attitude and THE GREEN HORNET could provide that opportunity, that is if Rogen and Goldberg wrote it as more action as opposed to their usual raunchy comedy.
THE GREEN HORNET opens July 9th, 2010
