Carey Mulligan Joins The Coen Bros.’ INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS. She’ll Also Join Spike Jonze’s New Project

Variety reported that the ever so cute Carey Mulligan (An Education, Wall Street 2, THE GREAT GATSBY) will reteam with her Drive co-star Oscar Isaac in The Coen Brothers‘ next masterpiece, INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS.
That’s not all, the report also states that Mulligan is in talks to act alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Spike Jonze‘s untitled project which marks Jonze’s reunion with Being John Malkovich‘s scribe Charlie Kaufman…

INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS

The Coens are drawing in part from material in the memoir THE MAYOR OF MACDOUGAL STREET for their script.
It’s an original script to be directed and produced by the multiple Oscar winning brothers.
StudioCanal will co-finance and handle international sales and Coens’ buddy, the great Scott Rudin (No Country For Old Men, True Grit) will also help produce.
The story is about a folk musician named Llewyn Davis (Isaac) and his struggle during the genre’s 1960s heyday in New York City.
There will be character loosely based on such folk singers as Dave Van Ronk and Tom Paxton.

SPIKE JONZE’S UNTITLED PROJECT

Annapurna Pictures which is owned by billionairess Megan Ellison produces this “untitled satire”.
No plot details yet but word has it that it’s about “how world leaders gather to figure out all the seismic events that will take place in the worlds, from oil prices to wars that will be waged”
