I think we can all agree that the new trailer for CLASH OF THE TITANS released this past week was badass to the bone. The sight of the giant scorpion rising from behind the hill was massive. I thought it looked fine and promising but apparently director Louis Leterrier and Legendary Pictures and WB thought it could still use some more tweaking if you will, even if we’re only about 3 months away from the nationwide release. Star Sam Worthington talked, via HeroComplex and revealed that they’re going to get the money to shoot some more scenes this January and that this remake might get a 3D treatment…

“We’re going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it, they cut loose with some money so we can add to it,”
“We’re going to be shooting more scenes in January, so we’re going to be right up against it — the movie comes out in March.”
“There were some creaky parts but they are the parts that we knew were creaky and that we knew were going to be creaky going into it. The studio is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they’re talking about making the movie a 3D film.”

3D huh? O man, can’t it just be good old fashion CG action?! The Incredible Hulk was awesome just the way it was. But if they want to go through with this, there’s no looking back, we can only hope the conversion would add more.. sting.. to the movie.
But more gods sound good to me. This seems like a movie that wouldn’t hurt if it got even more slightly epic than intended.
In “Clash of the Titans,” the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
