CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS Directors To Helm LEGO Movie

If a movie idea sounds silly on paper but then it gets handled by filmmaker who may or may not turn this into something fun, would you give the movie a shot? Back in August of last year, it was announced that WB was bringing LEGO to the big screen, the studio is keeping the plot secret but it’s going to be a family comedy mix of live action and animation, described as an action adventure set in a Lego world. Scribes Dan and Kevin Hageman would write the script, produced by Dan Lin, one of the moguls who brought us Terminator Salvation. There’s been a development..

Heat Vision said, the guys behind one of the my favorite animated features in 2009, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will direct LEGO the movie.
The plot is still kept under wraps, and they still insist that it will be an adventure in the Lego world mixing live action and animation.
Here’s what’s interesting.. Lord and Miller got the job after preparing an awesome presentation/pitch that impressed not only Warners but also Lego execs
Both Warners and Lego weren’t sure if they wanted live action or animated movie but then Lord and MIller said ‘hey, why not both’ and so they presented a scenario that incorporated both and WB-Lego apparently loved it.

By the way, Lord and Miller are also the guys who are bringing us 21 JUMP STREET movie
I didn’t like the idea of LEGO movie but now, with these two dudes in charge.. I’m gonna give ‘em a shot.
