CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS Sequel Is Happening?

Out of all the sequel possibilities out there, this is the one that rocks my world because last year’s Sony’s animated film Cloudy With A Chance Of Meat was downright hilarious, one of the most fun I had in theaters in 2009… And it had a really good heartwarming father-son story. Sadly after a $100 Million budget, the movie only banked $125 Million domestically but it did get a total worldwide of $234 Million. I was shocked when it didn’t get even nominated,.. that Secret Of Kells movie just came out of nowhere to me.
But check this, Pajiba heard that Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs Sequel has been put into development by Sony Animation studio and the directing team of the first installment, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are expected to return.. although they’re currently busy developing 21 JUMP STREET movie with Jonah Hill.
The website said Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs sequel will be based on the book’s sequel, PICKLES TO PITTSBURGH.. sounds funny enough.. now, I’ve never read the book.. so I don’t know if the character Flint Lockwood and the gang would return…so I looked it up and it seems like the sequel story centers around Kate and her brother Henry and the land Chewandswallow, “where colossal foodstuffs rain down from the sky, and where the citizens, accustomed to the bounty, ship food to wherever there is a need for it”
