Cooper, Helms, And Galifianakis Want $15 Million Each For THE HANGOVER PART III

The Hangover Part II may have been a piece of sh*t unfunny comedy sequel that pretty much recycled every single little thing from the first film and they set it in freakin’ Bangkok, but it did bank a ton of money, $581 Million at box office worldwide to be exact. Wow! Goes to show that it doesn’t take much to get audience laughin’ these days.
It’s no secret that THE HANGOVER PART III will happen, it’s just a matter of time and how much WB is willing to pay the franchise’s key actors and filmmakers to return…
Hollywood Reporter heard from a reliable source that the 3 key actors, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are now asking for $15 Million each (against backend) to reprise their roles.
I knew I was in the wrong business but damn!
For the first film, those three were paid under $1 Million each, I heard it was around $300,000 each or so. And for the second film, they got paid $5 Million each and now they’re asking for $15 Million.
I don’t blame them, hey, if the studio’s making money off this franchise, they know the studio won’t be able to do that without them, the franchise’s star power, so milk it while you can.
I feel kinda sorry for Ken Jeong and Justin Bartha though, I doubt they’re getting the same deal but the Wolfpack is Cooper, Zach, and Helms.
No details yet on THE HANGOVER PART III, word has it they’ll take the story back to the states, specifically L.A. and it will deviate from the same formula of forgetting what happened the night before, which is good because that formula gets old.
Production might start this summer for a Memorial Day 2013 release.
