Damian Lewis And More Join ROMEO AND JULIET Starring Hailee Steinfeld

I’m a big fan of Showtime’s new series Homeland, it’s kinda like a more thought out, more well-written version of 24. And I’m glad the fantastic actor Damian Lewis found a ‘home’ where he belongs after few previous failed attempts on TV.
Hollywood Reporter said Lewis is one of the many actors who’ve recently joined the new take on ROMEO AND JULIET..

ROMEO AND JULIET, a new indie take on Shakespeare’s classic tale, directed by Italian filmmaker Carlo Carlie (Flight Of The Innocent) from a script by Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park, The Tourist). Production already started in Italy ten days ago.
Hailee Steinfeld plays Juliet, Holly Hunter plays the Nurse who raised Juliet.  Ed Westwick plays Tybalt, Kodi Smit-McPhee plays Benvolio. Douglas Booth plays Romeo. Paul Giamatti plays Friar Lawrence, Romeo and Juliet’s advisor.
Damian Lewis plays Lord Capulet. Also starring Natascha McElhone as Lady Capulet, Stellan Skarsgard as Prince of Verona, Lesley Manville as The Nurse, Christian Cooke as Mercutio, Tomas Arana as Lord Montague, Laura Morante as Lady Montague and Leon Vitali as Apothecary
The budget is pretty low, at about $15 Million, this film is described as the Rome And Juliet story for the Twilight generation.
One of the exec-producers of this project, Nadja Swarovski, said that the classic story of ROMEO AND JULIET needs to be retold every 15 years. Do you agree with that statement?
