Dan Aykroyd Confirms Some Of The Casting Rumors Surrounding GHOSTBUSTERS 3

Real quick now, cause I don’t wanna take up too much of your weekend… You’ve heard recently the rumor about Anna Faris, Bill Hader, and Will Forte possibly being considered to join the new team GHOSTBUSTERS 3 which will be mentored by the old team in the Ivan Reitman-directed new installment with script reworked by Dan Aykroyd a.k.a Dr. Raymond Stantz.
A reader over at Bloody Disgusting said that Aykroyd was on WGN Radio Chicago and confirmed those rumors as “strong possibilities” mentioning Hader and Faris’ names specifically. He also mentioned Eliza Dushku‘s name again. He first mentioned her back in May 2009. What’s Aykroyd’s fascination with Dushku? Beats me.. Last but not least he also confirmed that Bill Murray (who’s been reluctant all this time but then showed up in complete Venkman get-up at SCREAM Awards 2010) and Sigourney Weaver (who said her movie’s son will be part of the new team) will be returning. Columbia Pictures wants production to start in May 2011. GHOSTOBUSTERS 3 is expected to arrive Christmas 2012
