Another prove of the trailer being funnier than the movie itself. The Wayans Bros. cracked me up with their first two Scary Movie spoof but now… they just straight up bore me to death. Little Man was a sign of their downfall and DANCE FLICK has buried them six feet under. It’s not funny, it’s childish, over the top, confusing, plain stupid, o and did I mention it’s not funny?!

In “Dance Flick,” a young street dancer, Thomas Uncles (Damon Wayans, Jr.), from the wrong side of the tracks and a beautiful young woman, Megan White (Shoshana Bush), are brought together by their passion for dancing and put to the test in the mother of all dance battles

I’m not going to keep this long because I have better things and people to do with my time than to rant about DANCE FLICK. To tell you the truth, it seems like it’s got potential, it makes fun of all of dance movies out there, at first you’d kinda get the feel that the Wayans Bros. are getting somewhere with their humor but then… for the most part, you just can’t see yourself laughing because they’d settle for lame jokes meant only for easily amused uneducated audience to enjoy.

Granted, it’s not as horrible as the works of Friedberg/Seltzer (Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie) hell I hated those titles so much I didn’t even take the time write the reviews. I used the cover page of the DVDs to wipe my butt after doing number two.
You gotta at least admire the Wayans family (they’re many and they all look alike) for producing their own movies because God knows they’ll never get hired by Spielberg or Nolan in the near future.
And those in the circle of friends will always get jobs by The Wayans Bros because obviously they keep casting the same people again and again, their recycling business is doing better than the one near my local department store. But does that give them to excuse to make such a crappy spoof movie? Hell no! And shame of us for falling for their tricks once again and encouraging them by throwing our money away.

DANCE FLICK is one of those comedy that starts out funny but loses its energy halfway through. It tries to pack in every little dance movie it can make fun of we get stuck wondering which one is from which past time movie. The team of Wayans writers try to bombard us with one racist joke after another but we get sick and tired after a while. The only, I kid you not, the only part that’s actually hilarious is Ms. Cameltoe. The rest is torture,.. painful movie watching experience.
