There were some concerns that Tim Burton might not do the big screen version of DARK SHADOWS because he’s handling FRANKENWEENIE movie for now even though the project was already confirmed this past summer. But don’t fret, Sci-Fi Wire had a chat with producers Graham King that said that DARK SHADOWS is still happening and it might start filming in fall of next year. Based on the old timer weird TV series in the 1960s, the show got over 1200 episodes and it featured many supernatural elements from werewolves, ghosts, zombies to warlocks and witches. Johnny Depp is set to play the vampire Barnabas Collins
“We’ve been working on the script a lot, even though he’s working on Alice,”
“We’ve been given a script. John August wrote the first screenplay. We’re making some changes, but the film’s going to be in production, as I say, September or October of next year.”
