David O. Russell Won’t Direct PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. Chloe Moretz Returns To OLD ST. LOUIS But Scarlett Johansson Exits

Scheduling conflict is a party pooper.. here’s why..

David O. Russell (THE FIGHTER) was supposed to direct PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES with Natalie Portman set to star. Portman is also a producer of the project. Vulture said Russell has decided to leave because Portman who couldn’t meet Russell’s start date on the movie.
What a shame.. but hopefully another filmmaker gets hired soon cause I seriously can’t wait to see this adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith horror comedy book. The idea of Elizabeth/Portman killing zombies makes classic literature a thousand times more exciting.

The website said Russell is still the director of OLD ST. LOUIS with Vince Vaughn as a traveling salesman/an absentee father, whose life suddenly drastically changes when his daughter becomes part of his life.. But because production start date will now be in Spring, Scarlett Johansson who was cast as Vaughn’s secretary who accompanies them on their cross-country sales jaunt, will NOT be able to do the gig.
But it’s not all bad news.. Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass, Let Me In) who at one point had to turned down the role of Vaughn’s daughter due to damn scheduling conflict,..will now be able to the gig after all.
The universe works in mysterious ways.
