Director McG Will Play OUIJA

Well, if you’re gonna have a lame project, might as well give it to a lame director…

Deadline reported that after rejecting many presentations from filmmakers competing for the job, Universal has chosen to hire McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) as the director of OUIJA.
It came down to 2 filmmakers, McG and Breck Eisner (The Crazies) and I personally think Eisner has dodged a bullet.

OUIJA movie has a script written by Tron: Legacy scribes Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz but the execs didn’t like his idea. So who else is in competition for the directing job?..

I wasn’t too crazy about Tron: Legacy’s story so I’m not keeping my hopes up on the story for OUIJA either, which by the way is still kept under wraps but Horowitz previously revealed that the movie will NOT be scary that it’s going to be a big adventure movie in the vein of Indiana Jones.

The untitled OUIJA movie based on the creepy demonic board game which have been used to communicate with the spirit world for more than 200 decades, to be produced by Hasbro and Platinum Dunes. One of those Dunes boys, Brad Fueller this past summer said that the movie would more of an action adventure with horror elements.
Production, with a range $80 Million – $100 Million budget, will start this summer for a November 12th, 2012 release

  1. See? If they were using a ouija in the first place, they would have known that their first endeavors as writers suck to begin with.
