Alain Chabat

Bonjour! Mercy! Bon Apetit.. was I saying that right? I really need to buy one of those expensive Rosetta language programs and start learning French I wanna go back to Paris again and taste its wine. Speaking of French, actor Alain Chabat was recently seen as Napoleon Bonapare in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian but his visit in this country might last a bit longer than scheduled.

According to Variety, Chabat will star in the buddy comedy THE DUBBER for Focus Features.
Check out how many people are involved in the story development.. based on the idea by former L.A. Film Festival director Richard Raddon and filmmaker Marina Zenovich who then pitch it to scribes David Gilcreast and Jay Chandrasekhar (Beerfest) who wrote the first draft of the script with second revision by Mark and Jay Duplass (Baghead)

In THE DUBBER, Chabat will play a man who provides the French dubbing voice for a top Hollywood star but when the A-lister goes missing, the dubber travels to the U.S. to help find him.

Dubbing isn’t something new for the French thesp because Chabat actually provides the French voice of Shrek.
