‘The Rock’ Returns FASTER To Action

Has our prayer been answered? I’d like to take this moment to thank the academy, my agent, the hot girl next door and every one of you who may have prayed for the return of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to the world of action movies because by golly it is happening, damnit! According to Variety, the man who likes doing family movies (The Game Plan, Race To Witch Mountain, the upcoming Tooth Fairy and Johnny Quest)  is going to star in the action movie FASTER for CBS Films. I know, the title sounds B-quality, maybe they’ll change it eventually… hopefully because right now, the title sounds like either a Fast and Furious movie or a softporn.

This project reunites Johnson with Gridiron Gang director Phil Joanou with the script written by Tony Gayton.
Since McG doesn’t want The Rock to be CAPTAIN NEMO, looks like The Rock is gonna have to show McG what he’d be missing out on.
FASTER is about an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist. Production will start this August.
