Elizabeth Banks Remembers W. And ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO

January 14, 2012RamaNo Comments,

Thanks to Summit Entertainment, last weekend I had the opportunity to talk with the beautiful Elizabeth Banks about her new film, MAN ON A LEDGE.
I’ve shared with you my chat with Banks on THE HUNGER GAMES’ Katniss and THE HUNGER GAMES’ director, and also about what Banks did to prep herself for her role and about smoking cigarettes.
I told Banks that I admire how she can move seamlessly from comedy like Zack And Miri Make A Porno, to a biopic drama like W. and to thrillers like Man On A Ledge. Her career as a movie star is fairly young but so far she’s managed to transition from one genre to another without a problem, and she replied..

“I’m really just looking for things that interest me. I try to work on good movies, I like all those movies, I think those were all really cool movies
W., I mean for an actor, that’s like a dream job, to work with Oliver Stone, work with Josh Brolin, playing an iconic woman, it’s amazing, I loved every minute of that project.
Zack And Miri [Make A Porno], I very rarely get to fall in love on screen and I found that just a delightful experience, to be someone who falls in love and I got to improv with all my favorite people, and work with Kevin Smith who I think is a truly iconic American, very American filmmaker
And then thriller, I’ve never run around with a gun and chased bad guys. I’d like to think I’m sort of kick-ass in my real life, I don’t get the opportunity to show that very often in films”
