Eric Dane Wants To Buy Out BURLESQUE

I know as a straight male, I’ve been posting mostly hottie females up in here but here’s one for the ladies out there, especially those of you loyal viewers of Grey’s Anatomy. You’ve seen Dr. McSteamy’s role in Marley & Me, right? The guy played a character who missed out on life because he spent all his years catching tails instead of building a solid steadymeaningful relationship, and for his next gig, actor Eric Dane will play a charming highly successful businessman, not a difficult task for Dane, if you ask me…

According to Hollywood Reporter, Dane has joined the cast of BURLESQUE, he’s set to pay a businessman planning to buy out the club and he’s falling for Christina Aguilera, the ambitious small-town girl with a big-town voice who finds love and success in a neo-burlesque club on Sunset Boulevard that’s run by Tess (Cher), a former dancer who struggles to keep the club open and gives the young girl a chance to shine. The place is said to be reminiscent of the nightclub in Bob Fosse’s Cabaret.
Kristen Bell plays Nikki, the loose-cannon lead dancer and main attraction at the club who gets all mad and out of control when Aguilera’s character suddenly gets the spotlight.
Also starring Cam Gigandet and Stanley Tucci as the man who helps Aguilera’s character gets her big break
This Screen Gems’ musical drama is directed by Steve Antin, BURLESQUE is set to open in Thanksgiving 2010.
