Ferrell And Dobkin WATCH The NEIGHBORHOOD No More
August 2, 2009RamaNo CommentsDavid Dobkin, Neighborhood Watch, Will Ferrell
Back in May, it was announced that the 20th Century Fox comedy project NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH was happening. Shawn Levy (Night At The Museum) was supposed to direct but he chose to just sit back as a producer and let David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) in charge with Will Ferrell attached to star as a man who moves to the suburbs, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers an alien conspiracy.
Those of us who think Will Ferrell just isn’t funny anymore won’t have to worry because according to Riskybizblog, both Ferrell and Dobkin have left the NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH for good. The reason for their decision is not disclosed but it doesn’t sound like it was Fox’s fault. Maybe after the failure of Land Of The Lost, Ferrell finally realized that he’s lost his funny mojo and decided to take sabbatical. But sadly, he still has that The Other Guy to work on with Mark Wahlberg and longtime friend director Adam McKay.
