Fillion, Cardellini, Rooker And More Join Gunn’s SUPER

A ton of actors have all signed on to help out filmmaker James Gunn with his movie SUPER. I used the word “help out” mainly because these are people that have worked with Gunn in the past, close friends and colleagues. Stars of Slither, Scooby Doo, and Tromeo And Juliet are here, Nathan Fillion, Linda Cardellini, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Stephen Blackeheart, Mikaela Hoover, Lloyd Kaufman, Valentine Miele plus two newbies in the team, Andre Royo and Steve Agee…

SUPER is about an average guy named Frank (Rainn Wilson) who becomes his pseudo-superhero alter ego, CRIMSON BOLT, after watching his wife (Liv Tyler) fall under the spell of a charming drug dealer named Jacques (Kevin Bacon). Lacking super powers, he compensates by swinging a trusty wrench. Ellen Page plays the sidekick Libby, a cute sociopathic teen working at the local comic book store, who morphs into ‘Boltie’ and teams with Frank to take Jacques down.

Gregg Henry plays Detective John Felkner, a local cop who goes hot on the chase of The Crimson Bolt
Nathan Fillion plays a pop-icon who inspires Frank to don his tights
Michael Rooker is appearing as Abe, Jacques’s henchman.
Sean Gunn and Stephen Blackeheart will play members of Bacon’s gang and Lloyd Kaufman and Valentine Miele.
Linda Cardellini will play the woman who ultimately delivers love to Frank
Mikaela Hoover plays a young woman who helps to inspire Wilson’s character.
