Mornin’. It’s still probably going to be a slow day, that’s how it usually is after 4th of July but, via comingsoon, here’s a few from the adaptation A DANGEROUS METHOD directed by David Cronenberg and THE THREE MUSTKETEERS in 3D directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Check out the photos after the jump…

Via The Playlist, TT.com and Heute.at, here are photos of Viggo Mortensen as Sigmund Freud and Michael Fassbender as Carl Jung

Starring Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen who replaced Christoph Waltz. A DANGEROUS METHOD is set to open in 2011…

Based on the play THE TALKING CURE by Christopher Hampton about Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung and their complicated relationship with a Russian patient named Sabina Spielrein.
Knightley would play Spielrein, Fassbedner would play Jung and Mortensen would play Freud.

A beautiful young woman, driven mad by her past. An ambitious doctor on a mission to succeed. Anesteemed mentor with a revolutionary cure. Let the mind games begin…

You can get THE TALKING CURE on paperback at amazon, here’s the official synopsis..

“Overshadowed by portents of the coming wars, Zurich and Vienna are the setting for this tale of emotional vicissitude and intellectual debate. The Talking Cure is an intimate picture of the birth of psychoanalysis and of two intense and inextricably interwoven relationships. Carl Jung uses Sigmund Freud’s “talking cure” on Sabina, a young Russian hysteric with whom he will fall in love. Impressed with Jung’s results, Freud anoints him his successor, but when Jung develops his own theories they part ways. Sensitive and intelligent, The Talking Cure illuminates the origins of one of the twentieth century’s most influential schools of thought.

Paul W.S. Anderson’s new take on the classic Dumas’ tale THE THREE MUSKETEERS in 3D will be released by Summit in theaters on April 15th, 2011. Summit might change the title to THE 3D MUSKETEERS, just to make it sound catchier…

Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) will play D’Artagnan, a young man who leaves home to become a member of the fighting force of the French king’s royal household.
Juno Temple will play Royal Highness
Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone, The Book of Eli) will play Porthos
Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans) will play Arhos
Matthew Macfadyen (Robin Hood, Pride And Prejudice, Frost/Nixon) will play Aramis
They are THE THREE MUSKETEERS

All for one and one for all!..

Here are the villains
Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will play Cardinal Richelieu
Mads Mikkelsen (Clash Of The Titans, Casino Royale) will play Rochefort.
Of course, Anderson has to give a role to his wife, Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) who will play Milady de Winter, Athos’ former love interest, described as “17th century Bond girl.”

Orlando Bloom will play Duke of Buckingham
James Corden will play the servant Planchet

Anderson wrote the script with Andrew Davies (Bridget Jones’ Diary, The Tailor of Panama). What these two scribes have in mind is to give the Alexandre Dumas classic tale a contemporary feel without ditching the period setting.
Anderson once said that their intention is to modernize THE THREE MUSKETEERS without compromising the fun of shooting a period piece, but this 3D version won’t be about corsets and feathered hats, it’s going to be “rich in eye-popping action, romance and adventure.”
