300

Talks of a sequel to 300 has been going on for the past year. To be fair, it’s actually been going on since the first installment earned a whopping $210 Million domestically and a total of $456 Million worldwide, that’s crazy considering the production budget was just $65 Million and the movie was released in the month of March, 2 years ago.

According to RiskyBizblog, the creator Frank Miller has finished the draft for the graphic novel that WB and Legendary Pictures hope to be the follow-up.
It doesn’t reveal the plot yet. All this time, there’s been speculation that it might be either a prequel or a sequel and that the story might take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea, the battle that the narrator Dilios is at while re-telling the story of King Leonidas and the mighty Spartans to a new group of warriors at the end of the movie 300.
Director Zack Snyder previously said that it might be like 300 on “crazier steroids”

Speaking of the man, Snyder who couldn’t get the world to like Watchmen (it only earned $182 Million worldwide) is going to promote the Director’s Cut version DVD and Blu-Ray of the movie this weekend at Comic-Con. And yes, he’s going to be asked a lot about this 300 sequel, so stick around cause he might spill some beans.
Snyder hasn’t signed on yet but he’s expressed interest to return to Sparta. No screenwriters hired but word has it 300 co-screenwriter Kurt Johnstad might return as well but he’s currently busy penning the war drama THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH also for Warners.
