FRIGHT NIGHT Remake Helmer To Direct Disney’s MILLION DOLLAR ARM Starring Jon Hamm

Variety said Craig Gillespie is in talks to direct Disney’s true story sports drama, MILLION DOLLAR ARM with Jon Hamm attached to star.
I’m looking forward to this because it’s scripted by Tom McCarthy who co-wrote Pixar’s Up and who wrote and directed one of my favorite films last year, Win Win.
MILLION DOLLAR ARM is about a sports agent, J.B. Bernstein (Hamm) who discovered professional pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel through a reality show he staged in India with cricket players which auditioned 40,000 cricket players, because Bernstein noticed the similarity of the game’s throwing motion to that of baseball pitchers. He then went on to teach Singh and Patel the rules of baseball and he also taught them American Culture and to speak English. Those two eventually got contracts with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
