George Tillman, Jr. Wants Dwayne Johnson To Go FASTER

Back in spring, there was an info that hit the web so awesome it made me dance in circles for hours… The return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to action with the project FASTER and now Variety reported it has a director, George Tillman Jr. (Men Of Honor, Notorious)
It was supposed to be directed by Gridiron Gang helmer Phil Joanou but he dropped out months ago. The script was written by Tony Gayton, the story is about an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist. Hollywood Reporter said it’s going to be even more complex and intense and because while hunting down the people responsible for his brother’s death, the ex-con (Johnson) is also being pursued by several guys who want him dead.
After The Game Plan, Race To Witch Mountain, the upcoming Tooth Fairy (check out the lame poster), the cop comedy The Other Guys and the rumor about Johnny Quest, it feels so good to hear Dwayne Johnson doing action again, this is what he’s always meant to do and I hope he stays in this genre.
