HAWKMAN The Movie?

Unfreakin’believable! In the many attempts to bring superhero to the big screen, apparently WB would do just about anything even if it means possibly developing a movie based on the character that literally looks silly in my book. Thanks to Panjiba for the rumor of the day. WB and DC Comics are developing a live action big screen version of HAWKMAN. Take this with grain of salt for now…

Word has it the supposed plan is for the studio to wait for the reaction or how well-received HAWKMAN (played by Michael Shanks) will be when he makes an appearance in a two-hour episode of Smallville this February before moving forward with HAWKMAN the movie which, according to the website, is meant to be a mix of Indiana Jones, Da Vinci Code and Ghost. God help us all.
I’m not familiar with HAWKMAN, nor am I dying to know more about him but if you are curious, according to Wiki, there have been several incarnations of HAWKMAN since he was created in the 1940s. He uses archaic weaponry and large, artificial wings, attached to a harness made from the special Nth metal that allows flight. Suddenly, Spider-Man‘s The Vulture doesn’t sound so lame anymore. HAWKMAN works closely with a partner/romantic interest named Hawkgirl or Hawkwoman. Guess now we know why they use Ghost reference.
It is said that one of his abilities is to converse with birds but he can’t command them like Aquaman would with sea creatures. What the..?! So what’s the point of conversing with birds if you can’t tell them what to do?!
Ok, enough with this rumor, let’s go back to reality.
