Heche, Buscemi, Nixon, Weaver, And Wright Join Moverman’s RAMPART

According to Variety, Anne Heche, Steve Buscemi, Cynthia Nixon, Sigourney Weaver, and Robin Wright have joined the cast of RAMPART already starring Woody Harrelson, Ice Cube and Ben Foster..

Production starts October 25th in L.A., Oren Moverman (The Messenger) wrote and will direct RAMPART based on the story by James Ellroy (Street Kings) and it’s about the corruption and criminal conspiracies in the Rampart Division of The LAPD.

It’s about “the widespread corruption in the anti-gang unit of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division CRASH (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums) anti-gang program during the 1990s. It revolves around a single police officer during the scandal… More than 70 officers were implicated in misconduct including unprovoked shootings, beatings, planting of evidence, framing of suspects, stealing and dealing narcotics, bank robbery, perjury and covering up evidence.”
