Here Are The Winners Of The 85th Annual Academy Awards!
February 24, 2013RamaNo CommentsThe 85th Academy Awards

ARGO F*k yourself! ARGO won the top honor at this year’s Oscars. I’m happy for Ben Affleck, he reinvented himself and became a respected filmmaker, though he got snubbed for directing, this producing award is great one nonetheless.
I’m stoked that ADELE now has an Oscar, that woman and her music are phenomenal in my book. The beautiful Jennifer Lawrence won for Best lead Actress. She fell on her way up to the stage but she looked great falling, that’s how head over heels I am for Lawrence.
Daniel Day-Lewis won his 3rd Oscar, all his Oscars that he’s ever won weer all for lead actor, so Day-Lewis has made history, a record!
One of the surprises was Ang Lee winning his 2nd Oscar for Best Directing, this time for LIFE OF PI and I didn’t mind at all because LIFE OF PI is remarkable and it deserves its Best Directing, Best Cinematography, Best VFX and Best Score wins.
I’m hugely disappointed that WRECK-IT RALPH got beaten by Pixar’s BRAVE. That was uncool! In the words of Ralph, ‘I’m gonna wreck it!”
All in all, I think Seth MacFarlane dia a fantastic job hosting the event, appearances by Cpt. Kirk a.k.a William Shatner was a lot of fun, the dance by Channing Tatum and Charlize Theron was memorable, and even the tribute to musical of the last decade was fitting despite the fact that we had to sit through another round of Russel Crowe singing, man, was that tough or what!
Best Sound editing was a tie win between Zero Dark Thirty and Skyfall, so that’s interesting, I dont’ remember the last time we had tie win and I’ve watched the Oscars since 1997
Christoph Waltz won for Best supporting actor, Anne Hathaway won for Best supporting actress, and the great Quentin Tarantino won for writing DJANGO UNCHAINED. Suck on that, Spike Lee and Katt Williams.
First lady, Michelle Obama ended up presenting the award for Best Picture award, so that was a pleasant surprise, part of me can’t help but think that it’s just White House’s way of thanking Hollywood for re-electing Barack Obama.
MacFarlane’s jokes are more hits than miss, I enjoyed TED’s irreverent hilarity as well.
