Deadline said those three brilliant thesps will star in writer/director Dan Fogelman’s IMAGINE
Steve Carell was previously attached to this project.
In this film, Pacino plays an aging ’70s rock star still packing arenas and hanging out with a girlfriend too young for him and on his 64th birthday, he discovered an undelivered letter written to his 19 year old self, from his old hero, the one and only legendary John Lennon.
Wow! I wish that storyline happened in my life. Where was I? ah yes..
Pacino’s character decides to straighten out and live right. He rediscovers the music that he originally loved and tries to reconnect with his 40-year old estranged son (Renner), he also moves to New Jersey hotel and befriends the hotel’s manager (Moore). Apparently Lennon’s message tells him that love is all that matters at the end.
Ok, I’m a Beatles fan, so count me in on this one.
