Isabelle Fuhrman Is Jaden Smith’s Friend In M. Night Shyamalan’s AFTER EARTH

Actress Isabelle Fuhrman was creepy in the horror flick, Orphan, especially when it was later revealed that her character was.. well, I won’t spoil the movie for ya!
Fuhrman can be seen this spring in THE HUNGER GAMES, and now Hollywood Reporter said that Fuhrman is also going to star in 1000 A.E. a.k.a AFTER EARTH, starring Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Zoe Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo, directed by the guy who brought you that godawful movie version of The Last Airbender, M. Night Shyamalan...

Scripting job belonged to scribe Gary Whitta (The Book Of Eli), Shyamalan however rewrote it a bit as he saw fit. And then Oscar winning scribe Stephen Gaghan (Traffic, Syriana) was brought in to help polish this futuristic sci-fi project housed at Sony Pictures, produced by Overbrook

“Set 1,000 years into the future, a young boy navigates an abandoned and sometimes scary Earth to save himself and his estranged father after their ship crashes.”

So ya, earth is not what it used to be, the father (Will) is injured and it’s up to the son (Jaden) to be the hero but once again, earth is not what it used to be, it is now a strange and dangerous place.
If all goes well, Kravitz will play Will’s daughter and Okonedo will play Will’s wife. Fuhrmann plays Jaden’s character’s friend, Rayna.

Production starts this March in locations in Pennsylvania and Utah and the film will arrive June 2013
