It’s Official! Both ZOMBIELAND 2 And JACKASS 3 Will Be In 3D!

Let’s start this evening with some awesomeness shall we?! Everything we’ve heard is TRUE! Variety has confirmed that Sony Pictures is indeed developing ZOMBIELAND 2 in 3D! Producer Gavin Polone and director Ruben Fleishher are definitely going to return. Right now the studio is just trying to come up with a sweet juicy deal to lure back Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin, I’m sure we won’t have a problem with that, especially Woody who… openly wanted a sequel. Fleischer previously said they haven’t cracked the story yet but guess what, the first movie’s screenwriting team Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are currently working on the screenplay for ZOMBIELAND 2.

And another awesomeness is that the article also confirmed the info about JACKASS 3 in 3D! In fact, Paramount has greenlit the project. Prepare for some Knoxville ballsy ridiculous stunts that will jump out of the screen and go all up in your face. Paramount and MTV films expect the filming to start on January 25th, 2010
Director Jeff Tremaine is back and he reportedly has been conducting camera tests this week to ensure that the footage will look good in 3D!
To be frank with you, it’s a bit amusing to hear that JACKASS has a director.. I mean the idea of somebody directing Steve-O and the gang is hilarious because these guys play by their own rules, they’re nuts, they’re bananas!
So there you go, ZOMBIELAND 2 and JACKASS 3, both movies in 3D!
I can imagine James Cameron is hearing this right now and shaking his head in disbelief. He never thought in a million years that the technology he loves is being used for something more awesome than AVATAR.
