Jack Black Almost Became GREEN LANTERN

Not many people know this and this really happened that a few years ago, WB actually considered Jack Black to star in GREEN LANTERN movie, they were going for more comedy instead of the heroic format you see in the trailer, obviously it didn’t happen with Black and now the role belongs to Ryan Reynolds.
When asked by MTV, Black said he thinks about what could’ve been sometimes..

“I do. I just think about it sometimes,”
“Yeah, some people may know that for a minute there, long ago, there was talk of a more comedic version of Green Lantern, but yeah, it wasn’t meant to be,”

Now, I didn’t grew up a fan of GREEN LANTERN and their corps. mythology but aren’t there a lot of them?! So perhaps Black could play a green lantern in the sequel, no?
