Johnny Depp Gets Another Shot at DON QUIXOTE, This Time With Disney

Years ago, Director Terry Gilliam and Johnny Depp went out to make THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE movie, with Depp playing Sancho Panza, but the project was plagued with all kinds of difficulties and it eventually died and the filming process became the subject of docu feature LOST IN LA MANCHA.
Well, looks like Depp will get to make a DON QUIXOTE project after all because Deadline reported that Disney has bought an untitled pitch to be scripted by Steve Pink and Jeff Morris, and produced by Depp’s Infinitum Nihil and Christi Dembrowski and it’s said to be a re-imagining of DON QUIXOTE based on Miguel de Cervantes’ classic tale.
Let’s hope this project gets a better fate.
