Kat Dennings’ Role In THOR Is…

Earlier today, Natalie Portman who plays Nurse Jane in the Marvel live action movie THOR, spoke too much and revealed that her friend Kat Dennings is also going to play a role in the movie. Hollywood Reporter says that Dennings’ involvement has been kept secret all this time but that ship has sailed thanks to Portman and now the world can now that Dennings’ character will be working for Nurse Jane but Spoiler TV knows more…
Via slashfilm and Heyuguys, Here’s the casting call that was posted by the website a while back, seems like Dennings would play the character named Marcy Lewis…
“[MARCY LEWIS] (20) Is a college student. Aloof, jaded beyond her years, she thought her internship with scientist Kate Spelling would be an easy 6 college credits. However, she’s been stuck for months in this small New Mexico town and relegated to a wide range of unglamorous activities. Kate has been particularly hard on Marcy, making it her personal project to see that Marcy lives up to her potential. Marcy deals with her situation both by using subtle irony and by being an overt wiseass.”

Chris Hemsworth plays the hero with the mighty hammer and Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki and Natalie Portman as THOR’s mortal love interest Nurse Jane. Jaimie Alexander plays Sif, the tough female Asgardian warrior, Idris Elba as Hemdall, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, also starring Stellan Skarsgard and Colm Feore
The script was written by Mark Protosevich and Zack Stentz & Ashley Miller.This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth
Production is set to start in 2010.
