KUNG FU PANDA Writers To Pen THE KARATE KID Sequel

Number one in my book for this year’s top surprises was The Karate Kid, not because it came out of nowhere but because everybody was mocking it ever since the project started but then the movie opened and became not only critical success but also box office success, banking $299.7 million worldwide, which is impressive considering the production budget was only about $40 Million. And according to Heat Vision, Sony has hired the scribes behind Kung Fu Panda, Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff, to write the script.
The old 1986 sequel, The Karate Kid 2 brought the story from U.S. to Japan… No setting or plot details have been revealed yet about this new sequel.
