Roundtable Interview: Director Gus Van Sant And Producer Bryce Dallas Howard Talk RESTLESS

A couple of weeks ago, special thanks to Sony Pictures Classic, I participated in the press roundtable day for the upcoming drama, RESTLESS. The stars of the film (Mia Wasikowska and Henry Hopper) weren’t there but the event was attended by Oscar nominated director Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) and producer Bryce Dallas Howard. This was my 2nd time meeting Bryce whom I met previously at the press day for her other movie, The Help.
RESTLESS is about a teenage girl with terminal cancer who falls for a boy who likes to attend funerals and their encounters with the ghost of a Japanese kamikaze pilot from WWII.
I got to ask Bryce about the fact that this movie is also released in the same month as her other upcoming movie, 50/50, which also deals with cancer patient and whether or not this is the season that the audiences may be ready for such stories.
