LOCKE & KEY Movie, As A Trilogy, Might Happen?
November 6, 2012RamaNo CommentsLocke & Key

Let’s flashback, shall we! A few years ago, screenwriting team Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci were to produce through Dreamworks Studios, the feature adaptation of LOCKE & KEY, based on the comic book series from IDW publishing, written by Joe Hill (Stephen King‘s son) and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez. But it ended up not taking the movie route. LOCKE & KEY was then to be adapted for TV by Steven Spielberg, Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci and Josh Friedman who will write and produce. 20th Century Fox, which made a deal with Kurtzman and Orci, would produce the project in collaboration with Spielberg’s DreamWorks TV
BUT sadly, the pilot didn’t get elected by the network either.
Via io9, Fast forward to recently, Latinoreview heard a rumor that the feature adaptation is still going to happen and that the plan is to have it as a film trilogy.
Following tweets took place at Orci’s and Hill’s accounts..
“@Corpse_Bride17: Oh PLEASE say that the rumor about you and Kurtzman making #LockeAndKey a film trilogy is true. PLEASE PLEASE!” true
I don’t think I can say anything about a possible LOCKE & KEY trilogy, but I think it’s ok to retweet links: io9.com/5957862/robert…
Until further details hit the web, take above info as rumor for now
Here’s the official synopsis of the book series…
“Locke & Key tells of Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them…. and home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all…!
Acclaimed suspense novelist and New York Times best-selling author Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box) creates an all-new story of dark fantasy and wonder, with astounding artwork from Gabriel Rodriguez.”
