THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE opens March 15, 2013

BURT WONDERSTONE is a project which has been in development since 2006 when New Line bought the spec from Chad Kultgen, it was called BURT DICKENSON: THE MOST POWERFUL MAGICIAN ON PLANET EARTH at the time.
Scripted by screenwriting team Jonathan Goldstein and actor/scribe John Francis Daley (TV’s Bones)
Steve Carell plays a magician who is dethroned by a hip younger illusionist and must then find a way to rediscover his love for magic after a tragedy.
Steve Buscemi plays Anton, a Las Vegas magician who’s the longtime friend and partner of Carell’s character.
Gillian Jacobs plays a woman who has a one night stand with Carell’s character

After being injured by Burt during their “Hotbox” trick, he decides to quit the act and teach magic in the Far East. When a hot-shot street magician (Carrey) starts coming on strong, Burt must convince Anton to return to the stage. Gandolfini co-stars as a billionaire who owns the casino where Burt and Anton perform their show.

Olivia Wilde plays the assistant.
